In December 1998, Sheryl invited me to her Christmas Party. I was supposed to bring a gift for a gift exchange. I put my gift under the tree and began to mingle. When it became time to exchange gifts, I chose a nicely wrapped gift. When I opened it, there were two gift certificates for a movie theater. I found out that they were from a very handsome guy named Satoshi Tanioku. I thanked him for the wonderful gift and we started talking. We both felt an immediate connection. I asked him if he would go to the movies with me. He didn't say just yes, or I would love to, but instead he said, "Of course!" We had a wonderful, enchanting night together! We saw more of each other and grew closer together. Last December, we went to Sheryl's Christmas party together. Each of us brang a gift for the exchange. We put them under the tree. Apparently, Satoshi told everybody to grab any gift but the one he brought. I was supposed to get the one he brought. When Sheryl called gift giving time, everyone raced to the tree. All the gifts were taken except for the small box that Satoshi brought. We were sitting in a circle, and Satoshi was sitting next to me holding my hand. When I opened the box, I found a beautiful diamond ring inside. Satoshi leaned in close to me and whispered, "Will you marry me??" I didn't say just "yes," or "I would love to," but instead I said, "OF COURSE!!!" We will be married this Christmas.
